J.M. Boillot - Bâtard-Montrachet - Grand Cru

Jean-Marc Boillot produces this Bâtard-Montrachet from vines within the grand cru itself, on the boundary between Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Chardonnay grown here yields some of Burgundy's most concentrated dry whites, built for depth and longevity rather than immediate charm.

Expect a dense, textured wine with real weight on the palate, orchard fruit and toasted nuts framed by bright acidity and a long, mineral finish. On board it wants food with substance: lobster or langoustine in butter sauce, a rich pasta dish, or a well-aged hard cheese.
