Domaine Vacheron - Sancerre - Guigne-Chèvres

Domaine Vacheron produces this single-vineyard Sancerre from the Guigne-Chèvres site in the Loire Valley, made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grown on the appellation's chalky, flint-streaked soils.

Expect the bright citrus and gooseberry cut typical of Sancerre, backed by a flinty, saline minerality that gives real backbone rather than lean austerity. Serve at 10-12°C alongside oysters, langoustine or chèvre, or with dishes carrying a little heat - the acidity also handles pork and green vegetables with ease.
