W. L. Weller Special Reserve is Buffalo Trace Distillery's flagship wheated bourbon, made in Kentucky using wheat rather than rye as the secondary grain. Bottled at 45% ABV, it is the entry point into the Weller range that has become a byword for wheated bourbon style.

Expect a softer, rounder profile than rye-forward bourbons — honey, vanilla, caramel and a gentle grain sweetness with minimal spice bite. Serve neat or over ice after dinner, or as the backbone of an old fashioned. Good company for dark chocolate or a slow cigar on deck.
