The Balvenie - The Week of Peat - 14 yrs

The Week of Peat is Balvenie's peated expression, distilled and matured at the family-run Speyside distillery in Dufftown. Bottled at 14 years old and 48% ABV, it takes the estate's signature honeyed, orchard-fruit malt and layers in smoke, a deliberate departure from the distillery's usual unpeated house style.

Expect smouldering bonfire and dried fruit on the nose, with a rounded, waxy palate where smoke and honey sit in balance rather than fighting for attention. Serve at 18-20°C after dinner, alongside dark chocolate, blue cheese or simply on its own with a splash of water.
