Joan d'Anguera - Montsant

Joan d'Anguera's Montsant red is a blend of Carignan and Grenache grown in Cataluña, on the schist and slate soils that ring Priorat. Montsant shares much of its neighbour's structure and mineral drive, at a more approachable weight.

The wine is dark-fruited and firmly structured, with the Carignan lending backbone and the Grenache filling out the mid-palate. Serve at cellar temperature with grilled or roast meats, lamb, or a charcuterie board — it has the depth to carry a proper main course.
