Gilbert et Christine Felettig - Nuits-Saint-Georges - Vieilles Vignes

Gilbert et Christine Felettig farm old-vine Pinot Noir in Nuits-Saint-Georges, one of the Côte de Nuits' sturdiest appellations. This cuvée draws on vieilles vignes, giving fruit with the extra concentration and grip that older plantings bring, vinified to reflect the appellation's firm, savoury character rather than any polished, modern gloss.

Expect a dense, structured red with dark cherry and undergrowth notes, firm tannins and real backbone. Serve at 15-17°C alongside beef, venison or game birds - this is a wine built for the galley when the owner wants proper Burgundy with dinner, not something delicate.
