Caymus Vineyards - Special Selection - Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2013 Caymus Special Selection shows a deep, dense ruby‑black core with aromas of blackberry, black currant, crème de cassis, mocha and a hint of sweet oak leading into richer notes of black plum and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full‑bodied and plush, with generous dark fruit — blackberry, plum and cassis — layered over spice, cigar box and gentle earthiness, wrapped in velvety, fine‑grained tannins. The texture is opulent and dense, yet balanced, giving a silky mid‑palate and smooth integration of oak and acidity. The finish is long, powerful and refined, with lingering dark fruit, mocha and subtle spice — a Cabernet built for now and years of further aging.
